TK and his wife Susan became full-time residents of Cashiers, NC in February 2020. Though TK and Susan enjoyed Miami and the Florida Keys, it was time to move to Cashiers as one son and two grandsons lived in nearby Greenville, SC, another son was a graduate of Clemson University, and a brother-in-law was a full-time resident of Cashiers. TK is a graduate of Rollins College in Winter Park, FL. and earned his MBA at night at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fl. TK spent the early part of his professional career in banking but after going through a number of mergers shifted to residential mortgage lending in Miami and the Keys with Chase Manhattan Mortgage before joining his wife and younger son in residential real estate at EWM Realty International in Coral Gables. Many of his sales were in the high 6 and low 7 figure range and his most interesting was the sale of an island (Linderman Key) off of Key Largo, Fl.
For the past 20 years, TK has helped the episodic and chronic (street) homeless. TK, Susan, and his younger son led a 52 week feeding/clothing/and showering program on Miami’s streets for the past 4 years for St. Philip’s Episcopal Church of Coral Gables. In Cashiers TK is an Ally with the poverty reduction program of Circles USA, as well as a member of Rotary. TK and Susan look forward to serving the Highlands-Cashiers Plateau.
